A few things I have come across and learned!
1. Pogona are a genus of lizards containing seven species.
2. The bearded dragons belongs to Agamidae family and genus Pogona.
3. They can reach to the size of about 13 to 24 inches.
4. In the wild, the bearded dragons are found in arid woodlands and deserts.
5. They have a very friendly nature towards people, and are very calm when they grow into adults.
6. Dragons have an average life span of 10–20 years, although some have been known to live longer.
7. Bearded Dragons are cold blooded lizards.
8. They make good pets for children!
9. They have a third eye, on the top of their head.
10. They fear birds and are always on the look out for them.
11.Bearded dragons have limited ability to change their colors. Softer colors reflect most of the sunlight, which helps them regulate their body temperature.
12. They sometimes run on their hind legs to get away from predators.
13. They love to lay and bask in tress and said to be good climbers.
